What is an end-of-life doula?

An end-of-life doula is a trained professional who provides companionship, emotional support, and assistance with end-of-life planning to individuals and their families.

Why should I hire an end-of-life doula?

Hiring an end-of-life doula can provide comfort, peace of mind, and assistance during a challenging time. Doulas offer personalized care and support to meet the unique needs of each individual and family. Other reasons to hire an end-of-life doula:

• If your aging parent or spouse is reluctant to discuss end-of-life matters.

• If you have an aging parent or spouse and are unaware of the options available at the time of death.

• If you are single and want to ensure your end-of-life wishes are known and respected.

• If you are married and worry about the guilt of making the right decisions for your dying spouse.

• If you or a loved one has received a terminal diagnosis.

• If you or a loved one is in the process of dying.

Does Twilight Veil Doula Care provide services in languages other than English?

I offer services in English. However, I strive to accommodate language preferences and can discuss options for interpretation services.

What training and qualifications do end-of-life doulas at Twilight Veil Doula Care have?

I am an End-of-Life Doula Candidate (as of Feb 3 2025) and proficient in end-of-life care, counseling, and support. My training is through Home Hospice Association and I am a member of Death Doula Ontario Network. I have the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to clients.
